CAROLYN GAIR
President
Carolyn Gair is the owner of Bowling4Rhinos Productions in Los Angeles. She is a prolific and accomplished Director, Head of Story, and Story Artist who has worked with all of the major studios including Disney, Warner Bros, Universal, Illumination and Paramount. A Sheridan College of Animation graduate, Carolyn’s work has spanned three decades - breathing life and humor into such TV classics as Tiny Toons, Animaniacs and Kim Possible.
Her work as a Director at Disney Feature Animation led her to collaborating on multiple projects with Chief Creative Officer John Lasseter including Jungle Book 2, Brother Bear 2, and the successful Tinkerbell franchise. After Disney, Carolyn worked with Chris Meledandri on Illumination's Hop and Despicable Me.
Carolyn was a lead story artist on Free Birds - working with writer/producer David Stern and director Ash Brannon; and served as Brannon’s head of story on the Mandoo feature, Rock Dog. She's workshopped gags with comedians Steve Martin and Eddie Izzard, helped develop and punch-up scripts, and contributed to the overall structure and narrative of multiple feature films.
Her work is Emmy and Annie nominated, and has been seen in over twenty countries and translated to multiple languages. In her spare time, Carolyn creates stop-motion CheeseMan shorts for her YouTube Channel and Instagram account @Bowling4Rhinos and is currently directing a stop-motion feature “RETURN TO KELLOGG“ at Bowling4Rhinos Productions. Still proudly Canadian, she is also an “ex-pat extraordinaire”!
JONAS SCHUBACH
Director of Photography
Jonas is a Cinematographer from Lake Constance, Germany.
His work has been broadcast on national television in Germany, China and the United States. His most recent feature, the science-fiction thriller All Terrain, was produced by Oscar-winner Gray Frederickson (The Godfather, Apocalypse Now) and is one of the world’s first 3D 360° VR feature films.
He received two European Cinematography Awards, a European Independent Film Award and was nominated for two Golden Eagles.
Jonas holds an MFA from Florida State University, an MA from the University of Memphis and a BA from the University of Mainz and he has taught classes in cinematography and film at all three institutions between projects.
In his free time he plays the guitar, listens to the Beatles or canoes on Lake Constance.
